Camp Community was created to prevent summer learning loss by giving kids the chance to grow and learn in a safe, fun, and inclusive environment. Our program not only supports students' basic needs but was crafted to help them thrive by introducing, reinforcing, and exposing them to the crucial skills they need both in the classroom and for beyond. Here are some of the skills CU looks to foster:

  • Foundational Literacies: ELA, Math, Science, Technology, Cultural and Social/Emotional

  • Critical and Creative Thinking

  • Collaboration and Leadership

  • Communication and Social Skills

  • Resiliency, Grit, and Growth Mindset

  • Career Readiness + Career Exploration

In addition to academic skill development, this summer CU is launching a fully theme-immersed series of camps that are designed to expose students to Career and Technical Education (CTE) through a hands-on learning experience. “Blueprint for Fun” incorporates the Architecture and Construction and STEM WISD's CTE endorsements. Using a cross-circular, multidisciplinary approach, students will learn about these industries, what they do, and the career options that exist in each field. To learn more about the CTE program, visit https://www.wimberleyisd.net/domain/633

As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, all contributions towards programming are considered a donation and in turn, are tax deductible. Because of this, any contributions made are nonrefundable. If your child is unable to attend, we will happily issue a credit that can be applied to future participation or can be applied towards a scholarship for a family in need.

FAMILIES SEEKING SCHOLARSHIPS: In line with our mission, Camp CommUnity has reserved a set number of spaces each week to offer free of charge to students whose families could benefit from support. In partnership with Wimberley ISD, scholarships will only be made available to families who are currently enrolled in free and reduced lunch within the WISD. Access codes will be sent via email; if you do not receive an access code, proof of enrollment is required to register. Families registering with an access code that does not qualify will be unenrolled or asked to make a monetary donation toward their child's enrollment. If your family currently doesn't qualify for free and reduced lunch but is in need of scholarship assistance, please reach out to [email protected] to inquire about reduced camp enrollment, payment options, or other support that might be available PRIOR to registering. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis.
